Getting ready for the holidays...

Shasta was pretty proud of the tree she found.

Putting up lights... the tree was pretty tiny, until Jim built it a booster seat.

So pretty!

Sadly, though she found the tree, her holiday spirit did not extend to wearing antlers for long.

Christmas Tree!

Even though we travelled for the holidays, we still managed to set up our own Christmas tree (hooray for local cut-your-own farms!). After last year's mega-needles of death tree, we were pleased to find one this year that didn't draw blood and held it's needles like a champ!

Pretty Ornaments!
The whole tree!
A holiday living room (note the turtle holiday card-gotta love working with biologists!)

Christmas tree!

We got our Christmas tree today! Tait Farm in State College has lots to choose from, and they're a well-established local farm (for food as well as trees)- despite the (freezing) cold, the perfect tree was found. And Shasta even behaved herself for at least 30 seconds.
